Elastohydrodynamic Squeeze-film Interaction in Synovial Joints with Nanofluid Lubrication

چکیده
New lubrication events can be predicted using improved pathological non-Newtonian physiological fluids coupled to phospholipid-based bilayers in variable time-dependent magnetic fields under random non-steady conditions. In this study, we investigated nanofluid systems for synovial joints. The particles of PSPMA-g-HSNPs were used as nanoparticles. hydrodynamic interaction between the knee bones separated by a film was considered here various concentrations. simulation indicated solid mechanics on being pushed 45 kg-force. lubricant layer squeezed approaching bones, which increased pressure lubricant. calculated maximum and change height with time compared analytical solutions. results showed that application technology non-conventional joints feasible. Finally, also found an increase nanoparticle concentration, squeeze decreased, introduced new type bio-fluid

Synovial Joints and Lubrication mechanisms
Synovial joints form the most important feature of the human body as they represent the centers of the most essential and basic activity in the human beings, which is motion. A synovial joint can be described as a load carrying system consisting of two mating bones with tangential and /or normal motions. The bone ends, which are usually spherical in appearance, are covered with a soft sponge li...
متن کاملElastohydrodynamic lubrication of faults
The heat flow paradox provides evidence that a dynamic weakening mechanism may be important in understanding fault friction and rupture. We present here a specific model for dynamic velocity weakening that uses the mechanics of well-studied industrial bearings to explain fault zone processes. An elevated fluid pressure is generated in a thin film of viscous fluid that is sheared between nearly ...
متن کاملThe Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication Force in the Squeeze Motion of Hertzian Deformable Bodies
The elastohydrodynanlic force on two slightly defornlable bodies approaching one another head on is calculated in the limit of small gap sizes and small defornlations by combining Hertz's theory of deformation and lubrication theory. An expression for the lubrication force analytical in the deformation and gap size is obtained. The effect of the gap size, the elasticity and the velocity of appr...

متن کامل"Boosted lubrication" in synovial joints by fluid entrapment and enrichment.
The manner in which a human load-bearing synovial joint is able to carry the applied loads has been the subject of speculation for many years. In the past, a number of theories have been advanced each using as a basis one of several modes of lubrication well known to mechanical engineets. More recently some of the more unique characteristics of human cartilage have been recognized, and theories...
